Summary
The TRANSCAN-4 Joint Transnational Call 2026 (JTC-2026) supports multidisciplinary translational cancer research projects focused on cancer metabolism.
The call aims to foster collaboration between researchers and clinicians to develop innovative approaches for cancer diagnosis, patient stratification and treatment through a deeper understanding of metabolic alterations in cancer.
Proposals must address at least one of two strategic objectives: improving cancer diagnostics and monitoring through metabolic biomarkers, or exploiting metabolic vulnerabilities to advance precision medicine approaches.
Projects are expected to generate clinically relevant knowledge and contribute to the development of personalised interventions for cancer patients.
The call is implemented through a two-stage evaluation process (pre-proposal and full proposal) and is open to international consortia involving eligible partners from participating countries and regions.
Collaborative, interdisciplinary and translational research with clear clinical impact is strongly encouraged.
